Eden

The team’s flight was delayed, so instead of landing at one, they didn’t anticipate getting home until after three. I wanted to wait up for Decker, but sometime after two I must have fallen asleep because the next thing, I knew it was morning. And I was alone. I sat up and looked around, a folded piece of paper with my name on it catching my eye.

It was sitting on the table next to the daybed where I’d been sleeping the last couple of weeks, and I reached for it.

We didn’t get in until almost four. There was no reason to wake you. We have the day off since we got in so late, so I’ll come over once I’m awake and showered. Sorry the weather derailed our plans, but I’ll make it up to you.
